Clear data boundaries
Most PDFPerch tools process document bytes in browser memory. Pages that use cloud infrastructure display a specific disclosure before the workflow.

Optional promotion measurement
When enabled, nine core tools (merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, visual signing, images to PDF, PDF to JPG and text extraction), plus target-size compression send a fixed tool name, processing stage, allowlisted source category and campaign label to our Cloudflare API. No filenames, document contents, full referrer URLs, cookies or persistent visitor identifiers are included. Source context lasts only in page memory. Events expire after 14 days. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control opt-outs are respected. Stages distinguish opening a tool, invalid input, starting processing, a result being ready, invoking a download and failure. Text extraction can finish without a download. These are best-effort event counts, not unique people, linked sessions or confirmed saves to disk; opt-outs, offline use and rate limits may cause missing records. Ordinary network connections still expose your IP address to the hosting provider; this event store does not record it.
Local tools
For tools labeled browser-local, selected file bytes are not intentionally sent to PDFPerch servers. Closing the page releases in-memory data; downloaded files remain under your control.
Cloud-assisted tools
AI translation and summarization send extracted text to the configured Cloudflare Worker. Temporary sharing uploads the selected file to configured storage. P2P and collaboration exchange signaling or operation data as disclosed on their pages.
Local storage and offline assets
PDFPerch may store interface preferences, installation state and cached application assets in browser storage so the site can reopen quickly or work offline. Browser-local document contents are not intentionally written to analytics events.
Aggregate diagnostics
Lightweight aggregate statistics may include the tool name, page path, country code supplied by Cloudflare and success or failure status. They should not contain PDF contents, passwords, signature drawings or extracted document text.
Retention and control
In-memory document data is released when processing finishes or the page closes, subject to normal browser memory management. Temporary-share retention is stated before upload. You can clear local preferences and cached assets through your browser settings.
